Higher Secondary
LIS offers the International General Certificate of
Secondary Education (IGCSE) at the Secondary Level. IGCSE courses develop vital
educational skills, including recall of knowledge, oral skills, problem solving,
initiative, team work and investigative skills. Cambridge IGCSE gives schools
the ‘building blocks’ they need to make the right decisions in curriculum design,
planning and delivery. Cambridge IGCSE gives schools an internationally
recognized curriculum they can design themselves.
It puts the choice about the future where it should be – in
the hands of the schools and students of Cambridge. Students in 150 countries
enter for CIE examinations every year.
IGCSE
caters for different levels of ability with a choice between core and extended
papers in many subjects. The core curriculum is based on an overview of the subject
and is suitable for students expected to achieve grades C to G. The extended
curriculum is more challenging and designed for students who are expected to
achieve grades A* to C. Grades achieved through either route have the same
value.
At
school, students are encouraged to study a wide range of subjects at IGCSE
level. At the same time, inorder to follow a broad and balanced curriculum,
many students take courses from each of the IGCSE groups, particularly if they
reaming to go on to further education.
LIS offers Cambridge International AS & A Level at
the Higher Secondary Level. Cambridge International A/AS Level opens up a world
of opportunity – helping students get places at all the world’s major
English-speaking universities, or proving their achievements to future
employers. Cambridge International A/AS Levels are accepted at grades
A*,awarded for the highest level of achievement, to E, indicating the minimum
required performance. Each subject that a Cambridge international student takes
at AS/A Level receives a separately certificated grade.

interventions throughout the last academic year. Students are assisted at every step to sail
through their college admission process.
